KeySavvy pays off your loan with your buyer's funds. You get the rest.
You can accept payment with KeySavvy on any site. List anywhere (or everywhere) you want.
Your buyer can securely pay for your RV online and you're protected from scams.
Cash can be counterfeit, lost, or stolen and is annoying to deposit.
Cashier's checks are commonly forged and require bank verification.
KeySavvy does not charge a fee for sellers that have their title in hand. If the seller has a loan, KeySavvy charges $99 to pay off the loan as part of the sale.
Buyers and sellers can also choose to split fees equally, or have one party pay all fees.
Many buyers will refuse to purchase your RV if you don't have a clear title to sign over to them. You could pay off your entire loan first and wait to get your title from the bank. You could also sell or trade your RV to a dealer and they would handle the loan payoff, but they'll pay you much less than a private buyer.
KeySavvy is a licensed dealership, so we can pay your lender directly and sign the title over to your buyer. We'll give your buyer a temporary permit so they can legally drive your RV while waiting to receive the title from us in the mail. What do you get? A higher selling price.
Yes! You don't need need to pay off your loan before you sell your RV -- KeySavvy will pay it off as part of the sale process when your buyer pays with KeySavvy. We charge sellers a $99 fee when there is a loan or lien on a vehicle.
Yes. If your loan is more than the sale price of the vehicle (called "negative equity", "upside-down", or "underwater"), you can still sell with KeySavvy. In fact, we make it easier because you don't have to pay off your entire loan before selling your RV.
When you agree on a price with a buyer, we'll get a 10-day payoff quote from your lender. We'll collect the difference between the sale price and the payoff amount from you before your buyer picks up the vehicle.
Yes, you control the sale price of your vehicle. KeySavvy is not involved in the price negotiation between you and your buyer.
When your buyer pays with KeySavvy, we can send payment by direct deposit (ACH), wire transfer, check, and in some cases, Zelle. You can choose how you'd like to be paid on your account page.
After KeySavvy verifies and approves a sale, we'll send you an email letting you know it's OK to give your vehicle to the buyer. We'll initiate your payment as soon as the buyer confirms they have possession by clicking a button on their KeySavvy dashboard.
If your buyer is out-of-state and the vehicle is being shipped, you'll mail the title to KeySavvy. We'll initate your payment when the carrier picks up the vehicle, as long as we've already received the title.
After KeySavvy verifies and approves a sale, we'll send you an email letting you know it's OK to give your vehicle to the buyer. Don't give your vehicle to the buyer until KeySavvy has verified your buyer's payment. After we approve, you and the buyer can determine when and where to meet to hand over your keys.
Yes, KeySavvy generates a bill of sale automatically. Buyers and sellers will e-sign this document and can keep it for their records.
KeySavvy does not advertise your RV, but sharing your KeySavvy link on your ad will help buyers feel comfortable purchasing your RV. To find a buyer, you'll want to advertise your RV for sale on one or more online marketplaces such as Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, RVT.com, RV Trader, etc. Our blog has lots of great resources to help sellers, like marketplace reviews and guides for creating stellar ads.
When you sell your RV on consignment, a consignment dealer takes possession of your RV, lists it for sale, and shows it to buyers. When the vehicle sells, the dealer pays you the sale amount, minus the consignment fee. Typically, the consignment fee is 5-20% of the sale price, or a flat fee of $1,000 or more, depending on the vehicle. While you wait for the consignment dealer to sell your car, you can't drive your RV, but you still have to pay for registration and insurance, and you keep making monthly payments if your RV is financed.
When you sell your RV yourself, you can continue using your RV while it's for sale. When you use KeySavvy to accept payment, we handle the paperwork just like a dealer would, but you save thousands in consignment fees.
If you're selling someone else's RV, you can still accept payment with KeySavvy. We will require all legal owners to verify their identity or documentation showing your legal right to sell the vehicle.
Yes, it is legal to sell your vehicle even if the registration has expired. In some states, such as California, the DMV may require you or the buyer to pay outstanding registration fees when selling it to a buyer within the state. If selling to a buyer out of state, you generally do not need to pay unpaid registration fees when the buyer registers the vehicle.
